Apply for the Vacancy for Business Faculty at Concordia University Chicago. The category of the position is Business – Business Administration.

Duties:

The assistant/associate professor will be expected to maintain regular office hours, will be assigned an undergraduate advising load, and a teaching load.

The College of Business offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral (DBA) programs in business. The ideal candidate should be qualified to teach at any of these levels, as well as serve on dissertation committees. It is expected that candidate will have an academic degree and experience teaching in one of the disciplines offered within the College. Skill Sets:

The College is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial, and positive contributor. Likewise, candidates should have strong teaching skills, demonstrate initiative to be part of a community of practice, and possess the ability and experience to work with a diverse community of learners. Additionally, the successful candidate will work well in a collaborative environment, be ethical, and will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the University and the College. Also, the candidate will understand and use the business applications of technology and social media. Furthermore, face-to-face and online teaching experience and course development experience. Experience serving on dissertation committees is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in higher education in their field of study. Also, they must also have relevant work experience in their field of specialization that can translate into real-world experiences for students and meet the criteria of both the HLC and ACBSP for highly qualified faculty. Also, domestic and international travel when needed. Must have a valid passport.

Education Requirements:

The candidate must have an earned doctorate in business, DBA/Ph.D. in business, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or foreign equivalent. ABD will not be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting range and faculty rank is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Additionally, Concordia health, disability, and retirement plan enrollment are available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents.
