Teaching English Abroad: What is ESL and why you should consider it?

 

As you can see in any of your social networks' feed, travelling is one of the most common activities that people carry out. Most of us have the desire of experiencing the chance to see the world and be able to learn from new and exiting cultures, right? Well, ethical travel is one way to achieve that. What does that mean?

But what happens if you want to travel and work at the same time? Earning some money is a must as every person has their needs that require economic support so, there are many people that have decided to find a way that allows them to do both things at the same time. And, yes, it is widely possible!

So, in this matter, there is an unmissable opportunity for those who enjoy working while travelling and vice versa! It is Teaching English Abroad.

Teaching English used to be considered as the job of the future and, without a doubt, the future has come! Now, there is a huge amount of people all around the world who want to dedicate themselves to the learning of a new language and it represents a good chance for those specialized people or professionals that know English very well and have excellent skills and aptitudes for teaching.

  3. Gain international work experience: it is a dream for everyone to have a title of this matter in their resumes. Meaning that those teachers who are experienced in teaching outside of the country and working with other kinds of cultures get a lot more opportunities than the rest!

Also, ESL programs allow teachers to learn a different language depending on the country they decided to work. Just imagine! You have the opportunity to work, travel and learn at the same time. Moreover, every teacher has the ability to make a difference in their student's lives, so, think about going around the world helping people grow and be better.

It does not have many cons but you should keep in mind that teaching abroad involves being a long period of time outside of your native country and maybe far from your home and family. And, in addition to this, you have the setbacks that being a teacher implies but, for sure, there's nothing you are not able to deal with!
