The Imperial College London invites applications for Bseisu-Imperial College London Scholarship from candidates who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan, and are pursuing a full-time MSc programme commencing in September 2020. This scholarship has been established with the generous support of the Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation to help realise the vision of attracting brilliant minds to Imperial, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Scholarship requirements:

  1. Candidates are required to answer the following essay question to be considered for the scholarship: What life experiences have shaped who you are today and how have you overcome adversity to excel in education? How do you think these experiences will help you in today’s rapidly changing world? (700 words maximum)
  2. Be a self-funded student who demonstrates
  3. A very strong academic background and potential for future success
  4. A track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience
  5. Ordinary residence in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan
  6. An intention to return to your country of residence
  7. Financial need

MSc Finance Programme Requirements:

  1. You should preferably have a First Class Honours degree from a recognised university. They will also consider applicants with an Upper Second Class Honours degree from a recognised university or the international equivalent. You should have studied a highly quantitative discipline such as:
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering
    • Economics
    • Finance
    • Science
  2. Demonstrate your career plan through the Career Planning Questions on the application form, and this is an extremely important aspect of your application.
  3. English requirements:
    • IELTS (academic): A minimum score of 7.0 with minimum scores of 6.5 in all elements
    • TOEFL iBT: A minimum score of 100 overall with minimum scores of 22 in all elements

Amount:

One award covering the full programme tuition fees is available.

Note: Candidates who apply by the deadline and meet the residency requirements will be automatically considered for this scholarship and asked to submit their answers to the essay question if they haven’t already.
