The famous energy company "Shell" is offering internship opportunities for undergraduate students in Germany. The training program consists of real projects with clear objectives. The company will match the trainees with a specific role based on their skills and provide them with regular performance reviews throughout the training period.

Shell’s presence in Germany stretches back over a hundred years. It is engaged in the production of oil and gas and operates several refineries for processing crude oil. It currently employs around 3,600 employees, ensuring that airlines are supplied with aviation fuel, shipping companies with marine lubricants and industrial customers with petrochemicals or natural gas. Great emphasis is placed on innovation at Shell. The Shell Technology Centre in Hamburg is one of the leading Research & Development facilities within the international Shell group.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Shell is looking for ambitious students to help it tackle the energy challenge.
  • You must be an actively enrolled student who will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship.
  • You should enjoy being challenged so that rather than being daunted or overwhelmed if a task seems impossible, you welcome the opportunity to be innovative.
  • You also need to be good at absorbing information, analyzing problems, making objective decisions and coming up with original ideas.
  • You should have the drive, confidence and resilience to get things done, the flexibility to work well as part of a team and the credibility to influence others.
  • You must be lawfully authorized to work in Germany.

Benefits:

A Shell internship gives the intern the opportunity to:

  • Build valuable networks for future career options.
  • Discover potential job areas, fields of specialization or areas of future study.
  • Gain exposure to the energy industry.
  • Work on projects that have a real business impact.
  • Put into practice the theories and concepts you have learned.
  • Based on the evaluation of the intern performance during the internship, he could even secure an offer to join Shell full-time when he graduates – without the need for a further interview.
