Strathclyde Business School is delighted to be able to offer a number of MBA Scholarships for 2020. The scholarships will be awarded to candidates who demonstrate in their MBA program application and interview; exceptional professional/managerial/leadership experience and career development, excellent academic performance and who will significantly contribute to the overall academic, cultural and experiential profile of the program cohort.

There are two types of scholarships:

  1. Up to 5 scholarships of £15,000 each and will be awarded toward tuition fees. 
  2. Up to 20 scholarships up to £10,000 each and will be awarded toward tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for the scholarship:

  1. Applications are invited from exceptional candidates who are prepared to act as ambassadors for the Strathclyde FT MBA. Who can demonstrate through their ideas outlined in their application and interview how they would contribute to bringing the class together through teamwork to create community, from the outset, in order to achieve the ultimate learning (and social) experience for the group as a whole.
  2. Leadership/management skills or potential, overall quality of the application and financial need will also be considered.

Scholarship Amount:

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the course of the year and the final deadline for consideration will be 31 July 2020. The actual tuition fees for the MBA program are £31,450.

General entry requirements to the university:

For entry to the MBA program you must:

  1. hold a degree from a UK university or equivalent academic qualification from a comparable non-UK institution. (If you studied for your undergraduate degree at a non-UK institution we'll need a copy of your degree transcript). Professional qualifications will also be considered.
  2. be at least 24 years of age.
  3. have a minimum of three years’ full-time postgraduate experience where the management of people and resources has played a significant role.
  4. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5). Applicants who fall slightly below these standards if they're willing to undertake a pre-sessional study may be considered.
  5. Entry at Diploma level may be offered to applicants who do not hold sufficient recognized degree-level qualifications, but who do:
    • hold non-degree/professional qualifications plus at least five years’ varied management experience.
    • have no formal qualifications but extensive and varied management experience (10 or more years).
    • are exceptional candidates over the age of 24 with a minimum of two years’ managerial experience (available only to candidates applying to routes other than full-time).
