The United Nations Volunteers program is offering a volunteer opportunity to work as an anchor in the initiative 'Weekly World Climate Change News' is a year-old project aiming to contribute to SDG goal No 13. The sole emphasis of the initiative is to make the global audience aware of the evil effects of climate change and related facts. As per UNSDG Goal 13, 'Global warming is causing long-lasting changes to our climate system, which threatens irreversible consequences if we do not act'. 

To achieve this objective, the dedicated initiative team consisting of the Project Manager, Chief Editor, News Editor, News Anchor, News writer, etc are working weekly to serving 500+ global subscribers in English, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Ukrainian and Hindi language.

Eligibility Criteria:

The individual should be with pleasant personality, command over-delivering news, good at camera handling, confident in facing camera with a clear and distinct voice, shouldn't glance down at the script frequently, availability of teleprompter is added advantage but a not critical requirement. The anchor should resemble like a professional news anchor.

Main Tasks:

The editor-in-chief will send the weekly news to the volunteer, to translate it into the language which he is fluent in, then read and record it in a video clip and send it to the video editor for editing purposes. The length of the news will be 4 to 8 minutes maximum. This is weekly once the activity volunteer has to perform. The Weekly World Climate Change News initiative will publish its news in the main international languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Ukrainian, and Hindi.
