UNESCO is offering grants for graduate students to conduct their researches in the urban landscape filed in Montreal, Canada. This grant is intended for international students from the scientific cooperation network of the UNESCO Chair in Urban Landscape of the University of Montreal and is to be used to conduct a 4-month (120 days) research project in Montreal, a member of the International Coalition of Inclusive and Sustainable Cities – ICCAR.
The project should address a theme or an issue related to the urban landscape and closely linked to the mission of the UNESCO Chair in Urban Landscape and the associated UNESCO programs.
The recipient will receive the welcome grant in two (2) installments. The first, for CAD$ 2 500, once confirmed, and the second, for CAD$ 7 500, at the beginning of their four-month stay in Montreal.
The candidate must be a full-time student registered in a graduate program at a university of the UNESCO Chair’s scientific cooperation network, here
The committee will pay particular attention to the relevance of the research/action/creation project to the mission of the UNESCO Chair in Urban Landscape of the University of Montreal (CUPUM) and to the expected results. At the end of their project, the grant recipient will have to present their research project to the public (conference and/or exhibit or cinematographic creation) in Montreal and at their home university.
