Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Be classed as an international student for fee purposes.
  2. Apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time PhD before applying for this scholarship, as holding an offer to start a full-time PhD or MPhil in any subject (excluding engineering) at the University of Nottingham UK is a prerequisite for the scholarship. The offer’s start date must fall on or between 1 October 2020 and 1 February 2021.
  3. If the applicant is interested in engineering research, they may be eligible for the University of Nottingham’s Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence Scholarship and can check it here.

  5. Scholarships will only be awarded to students who accept their offer to study with the University of Nottingham. They do not need to respond to their offer before applying for this scholarship. If an applicant is offered a scholarship and does not then accept their offer, their scholarship will be offered to another applicant.

Funding offered:

  1. Students will get to power their research with  Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Research Excellence (International), covering tuition fees and a £1,015 monthly living allowance.
