The University of Queensland in Australia is offering scholarships to international students wishing to study a bachelor's degree in any major of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Information Technology.

Study Area:

  • Architecture and Planning.
  • Engineering and Computing.

Scholarship Value:

The total value of this award is $10,000

Admission Criteria:

  • The award is for international students applying to study at UQ on a full-time basis, including international students who have completed Year 12 overseas or in Australia. 
  • International students currently receiving fee sponsorship are ineligible for this scholarship. 
  • Only students with an unconditional offer are eligible to be considered.

Selection Criteria:

For the selection, process applications will be assessed by the Faculty based on:

  • Academic merit and suitability to the chosen program.
  • A Personal Statement that includes the reason why the applicant is seeking a scholarship and wanting to study their chosen program. It is also recommended applicants include information regarding any relevant extra-curricular activities, which may support their scholarship application.

Obligations of Students:

  • Students are expected to fulfill all requirements associated with their student visas.
  • Students shall diligently and to the best of their ability to apply themselves to the successful completion of their degree.
  • Students are required to conform to University regulations. Notification in writing to the Faculty is required if the student:
    • wishes to defer, transfer, or withdraw from the approved program.
    • wishes to apply for an extension.
    • is absent for any reason (other than recreation leave) for a period of 14 days or more from the place of study, except with prior approval of the Faculty.
    • Students are required to assist as a student ambassador at two or more University events.
  • Students are required to pay for their medical insurance through the Allianz OSHC scheme. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a compulsory requirement of your student visa.
