UN Volunteers platform is offering  an online volunteer opportunity, within Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), that is looking for one creative and motivated online volunteer to support our team with creating designs and artworks for our COVID-19 advocacy digital campaign. 

The Design and Multimedia Unit is a part of OCHA Strategic Communications Branch. It supports the whole organization on visual production. Its activities include: update and maintain OCHA visual identity and branding material, create templates for infographic and reports for field offices, produce visuals for social media and campaigns, layout for reports and other print products... The designer will integrate the team remotely and support the development of these visual products. 

Duration and working hours:

20+ hours per week for overall four weeks. Duration and working hours are flexible. 

Eligibility criteria:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in Graphic design Experience with Adobe software mandatory.
  2. Motion graphics skills desired.
  3. Ability to communicate in English.

Volunteer duties:

The online volunteers will be asked to: 

  1. Conceptualize and design 6 social media cards including illustrations, graphics, charts, text and photography. 
  2. Conceptualization and design of 2 short animations/GIFs including illustrations, graphics, charts, text and photography. The design and its layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the online volunteers in advance.
