Orange company offers a job opportunity in Egypt to work as a *Um - Splunk system engineer.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  • First professional experience in setting up, operating and further developing splunk platforms.
  • Be splunk enterprise certified admin and are familiar with data on-boarding and system administration.
  • Interest in machine learning, big data and automation.
  • Experience with agile working methods (e.g. Kanban, Scrum).
  • Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Independent, self-reliant working methods and proactive action.
  • Absolute diligence with a high degree of flexibility and commitment. 
  • You can prove that you worked with splunk for at least 12 month.
  • Be at least certified splunk admin.
  • JIRA
  • Confluence.
  • Ansible.
  • Linux/Unix.
  • Regular expressions.
  • Programming and scripting.
  • Python.
  • Network management.
  • TCP/IP.
  • GIT, SVN.
  • keen on new technologies and want to develop quickly some new and practical technical skills. 
  • A team working spirit and want to join a dynamic, operational and service oriented team accountable for both technical implementation and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  1. Planning, installation, maintenance, further development and administration of several Splunk environments, including multi-site clusters (high availability).
  2. Linux (SLES 11/12), windows server.
  3. 24x7 operation of productive environments and tens of thousands of forwarders.
  4. Troubleshooting and analysis of existing Splunk environments.
  5. ITSM remedy (incidents, changes, problems, known errors)
  6. Jira.
  7. Independent distribution of tasks within the team.
  8. Optimization of existing Splunk environments.
  9. Deploy, optimize and develop apps for the Searchhead multi-site cluster.
  10. Security & incident reviews/analysis of the platforms.
  11. Updating and maintenance of the documentation.
  12. Confluence
  13. Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins & Ansible.
  14. CI/CD with Bitbucket/Jenkins for automated deployment of configuration.
  15. Changes & apps.
  16. Ansible playbooks for the installation & configuration of the platform.
  17. Setup, maintenance and migration of the platform to AWS.
  18. EC2, ELB, VPC, Autoscaling
  19. Review and deploy desired configuration changes.
  20. After consultation consulting services for tenants.
  21. Monitoring & problem analysis in the infrastructure.
  22. Server hardware, network, storage, backup service.
