Aramex is offering a job opportunity as a Commercial head to join the team in its offices in Dubai, UAE for 2020. The Commercial Head will be responsible for driving revenue producing results by managing the sales processes and teams within the station.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Lead team of Sector Heads /GTMs incl. team formation and account allocation. Define trainings/ coaching/ monitoring activities for the team.
  2. Input to annual budget process as well as monitoring and delivering against it.
  3. Give guidance and support to country-based sales staff as part of driving growth in all sectors.
  4. Strong oversight of a succession planning program to support sector objectives.
  5. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Sales & Marketing Department or other Company goals and objectives.
  6. Assists in the completion of RFPs for the purpose of obtaining new projects.
  7. Engages in research for the purpose of expanding personal and Company knowledge of industry trends, best practices, marketing and sales.
  8. Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  9. Lead development of sales strategy: value proposition, market segmentation, strategy and differentiation, market insight, brand strategy and industry trends, white space opportunities.
  10. Support, review and approve the sales strategies for each business and lead sales projects or initiatives.
  11. Monitor businesses’ performance against target both volume and margin.
  12. Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for GTMs’ in support of commercial objectives.
  13. Articulate sales policy, procedures and guidelines to support strategy implementation.
  14. Coordinate corrective actions to sales programs, if necessary, to achieve target commitments.
  15. Develop and maintain organizational capability and participate in the talent management process.
  16. Provide coaching and guidance for Sales professionals i.e GTMs’.
  17. Achieve of country sales targets by (1) developing new business, Acquire strategic, high value clients spread across multiple industry verticals. (2) Retention of existing business (3) Grow business from existing clients by cross selling multiple products / logistics solutions.
  18. Responsible for the overall Sales function with regards to planning, development, implementation of Sales activities & programs i.e in market sales forecasting, planning & deployment of Sales budgets, crafting & implementing commercial strategies.  
  19. Provide strategic direction and management of the Sales function and ensure that this is aligned to the corporate goals leading to shareholder value creation.
  20. Network with peer group & other internal affiliates to roll out of Best Proven practices, as relevant.

Job Requirements (Experience and education):

Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

At least 10 years sales experience, preferably in transport or express shipping.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

Strong customer focus and analytical skills.
