The Malmö Arab Film Festival is the biggest film festival in southern Sweden and welcomes actors, directors and producers from all over the world. The aim of the festival is to bring Swedish and Arab culture closer together and enhance cultural exchange through visual storytelling. There will be workshops, exhibitions, celebrations and seminars accompanying the film festival. The festival takes place from 6th to 10th of October 2017.

The festival awards prizes for short films, fiction and documentaries.
The prize sums are:
Best short film: 15 000 SEK (about 1841 USD)
Best Documentary: 15 000 SEK (about 1841 USD)
Feature Competition: Best documentary: 20 000 SEK (about 2455 USD)
