1.1 The ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe focuses on journalists and media professionals in the EU’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

We are looking for TV, film and online programme submissions that promote the peaceful coexistence of people from different national, ethnic, religious or cultural backgrounds.

The ADAMI Media Prize recognizes outstanding programmes on the themes of migration, integration and cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in the EaP countries. All formats and genres are permitted. The ADAMI Media Prizes convey cash awards or grants for the winner in each prize category.

1.2 All submissions meeting the criteria outlined below may be entered for the competition starting 05.05.2020. The deadline for entries is 15.07.2020.

2. Programmes and Web Pages

2.1 Film and Television – Programmes that have been publicly broadcast between 01.10.2018 and 15.07.2020  are eligible for submission. The programmes must be submitted in broadcast form. They may not contain any advertising or advertising blocks unless the advertising itself is submitted for competition. For the Young ADAMI Prize, non-broadcast programmes may be submitted if they have been officially recognized as a thesis project produced for the main course of study at an educational institution (school, university, etc.) or were screened at least at one major film festival in one of the EaP countries (see list below). Participating TV stations, production companies and educational institutions must have their headquarters in one of the six EaP countries. Programmes previously submitted for the ADAMI Media Prize competition are not eligible for resubmission.

2.2 Web pages and Online Videos – Web pages and online videos launched or put online between 01.10.2018 and 30.06.20 are eligible for participation. Broadcasting companies, agencies, media companies and private individuals submitting Internet content (web pages with audiovisual material or online videos) must have a registered residential or office address in one of the EaP countries at the time of web page launch/video publication.

2.3 If requested by the jury, exceptions to the above regulations may be granted by ADAMI’s programme director. This decision will be final.
