University of Southern Denmark offers the Danish Government Scholarship – supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science – to certain applicants in recognition of the important investment that oversea students make during their education.

The combination of mechanics, electronics and software is used in everything from robots to refrigerators. With a master degree in Mechatronics you could, for example, make smaller and faster information technology products or create energy saving products. Your thorough knowledge and understanding of Mechatronics enables you to create innovative technological solutions to everyday challenges. As a master student you can specialize in two areas: Embedded Systems or Cyber Physical Systems. In this regard, the University of Southern Denmark offers the Danish Government Scholarship – supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science – offers scholarship to certain applicants in recognition of the important investment that oversea students make during their education in two specific courses: MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics, and MSc in Engineering – Electronics.

To be admitted to a Master’s programme, you must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, professional Bachelor’s degree or another degree on the same level.

When you apply for admission to a Master’s, only your Bachelor’s degree will be taken into account. If you have passed other degrees or courses after you completed your Bachelor’s, these will not be included in the assessment of whether you fulfill the entry requirements. You can submit your official Bachelor’s diploma or a confirmation of completion in English from your university as proof.

Please note that if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen without a Danish residence permit (valid until at least June 31/December 31) we must have proof of your completed Bachelor’s degree no later than November 25 (February intake). If we do not receive the documentation we will not be able to offer you a place in our programme despite your qualifications.

The scholarship consists of two parts: full tuition fee waiver and a grant, to help cover living costs amounting to DKK 3000 (around 402.51 EUR) per month before taxes.

To apply for a Master’s programme at University of Southern Denmark, you have to submit an application via the online application portal DANS. Before you can create your application, you have to set up a user profile in the application system. When you set up a user, you have to upload a copy of your passport or another ID including picture, name, date of birth and nationality.
