Queens Belfast University calls application for CITI-GENS PhD Fellowship in the United Kingdom.

The Collaboration in Training and Innovation for Growing, Evolving and Networked Societies (CITI-GENS) program at Queens University Belfast is a MSCA COFUND Doctoral Training Programme. It will recruit and train 20 outstanding international early-stage researchers (ESRs) who will be transformed into a professional and skilled cohort addressing global challenges aligned to the themes of the Belfast Region City Deal innovation ecosystem: Information Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences and the Creative Industries.

Eligible Projects

CITIG-ENS is conceived as a global, multidisciplinary project; as such, it offers PhD research positions in all three of the Faculties in Queens University Belfast across the 4 themes of the BRCD Innovation ecosystem.

Candidates will also have an external partner from a nonacademic organization on your project, offering an intersectoral experience, often in the form of secondments/placements. Eligibilities 

The following criteria must be met, in order for applications to be shortlisted for evaluation. The criteria are set by The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions in Horizon 2020, Co-funding of regional, national and international programs (COFUND). Early Stage Researcher: ESRs must be, at the time of recruitment (understood as the call deadline: 10th July 2020), in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers and must not have been awarded a doctoral degree. Researchers shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline (10th July 2020). Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
