The European Youth Portal is offering an online training for Youth Organisations where youth workers from different countries and organisations collaborate to develop, draft and implement Transnational Exchange Projects (TEPs).  The aim of this training is to introduce youth workers to Virtual Exchange through project based and experiential learning. TEPs are intended to foster meaningful intercultural experiences, the development of transversal skills, better understanding of a specific theme such as cyberbullying, volunteering, youth and sports, etc. as well as the development of specific skills such as communicating in a foreign language.

Benefits:

  • Youth workers will also understand the requirements to successfully implement Virtual Exchange in their projects.
  •  They will gain experience in the following: designing and implementing youth activities for intercultural learning, digital literacy, including communicating and collaborating online. 
  • Moreover, participants will take part in an Online Facilitated Dialogue session (OFD), therefore will learn, first hand about the benefits of including OFD sessions in your projects. 

Requirements:

  • Age of participation: Any
  • Who is it for: Youth Workers
  • Language: English require a minimun language level of B1.
  • Length of the course:  6 weeks
  • Weekly commitment:  4 - 5 hours
  • No previous experience is required
  • Trainees must be supported by a youth organisation
  • As an integral part of the course is creating a project and implementing it.

Application process:

  • Complete the pre registration form selecting the course dates that you want to apply for. 
  • Pre registrations will be processed and trainees selected based on their eligibility,  their reasons for applying for the course.
  • You will be informed 30 days before the start of the course if your pre-registration was successful and you will be sent the official registration form
  • Complete the official registration form within 5 working days (after this date, your place will be offered to someone on the waiting list)
  • You will receive confirmation of enrolment and access to the Learning Platform and will then be able to access the course, start to do the pre training activities and view the required reading

 Program Dates: 

  • June 1 -  July 11
  • September 13 - October 24
