IKEA announces two job opportunity in Egypt to work as a markethall group leader and furniture group leader. Al-Futtaim IKEA holds the franchise rights for IKEA in Egypt, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. A passion for selling, reaching your goals and getting the best for IKEA customers. 
  2. Ability to lead business through people by demonstrating high leadership capabilities. 
  3. Ability to make things happen by championing flexibility, speed and simplicity.
  4. Live and share the IKEA values every day.
  5. Post graduate certification.
  6. From 4 to 5 years managerial experience in retail or home furnishing and it's preferred to have IKEA experience.
  7. Experience in working in a fast-paced and commercial environment.
  8. Experience in managing and developing a team.
  9. Business-minded and result-driven with a customer focus.
  10. Excellent communication skills.
  11. Computer literate.
  12. Flexible to work in rotational shift duties, weekends and/or public holidays.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  • For the markethall group leader position:
  1. Improve sales, profitability, and market development in order to enhance the position of IKEA as a "home furnishing" store in the local market.
  2. Lead co-workers in market hall, provide support and develop them in order to create a robust and dynamic daily business campaign in market hall while ensuring an IKEA retail system.
  • For a furniture group leader position:
  1. Improve sales and profitability and develop the home furnishing business (HFB) to enhance the position of IKEA as the 'best in the market' home furnishing store in the local market, direct the workers in the showroom, provide them with support and develop them for a dynamic daily commercial leadership in the showroom while ensuring the presence of an IKEA retail system the installer.
  2. Ensure that the store is in new shape and has a strong commercial fundamentals level in Home Furnishing (HFB) business during all hours of operation.
  3. Focus on commercial awareness of the use and implementation of the sales strategy that includes the commercial group.
  4. Ensure that the exhibition area is equipped with properly trained and qualified staff during all hours of operation.
  • Ensure the store is in a pristine condition at all times and has a strong commercial basic level in your business area during all opening hours.
  • Plan and implement commercial calendar of the year.
  • Improve ease of shopping in the store by efficiently working with mechanical sale tools.
  • Be a product knowledge expert to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Your secure that all products in your business area are displayed according to the merchandising basics (clean, price tag, well assemble, no damage) during all opening hours.
  • Achieve the customer satisfaction goals set by the market hall sales manager for your area (measured by IKEA Brand Capital and CSI).
  • Manage the selection, training and development programs for new co-workers.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of the sales co-workers when vacancies arise.
  • Ensure working methods, basic action routines and range information are understood and carried out in order to achieve objectives.
  • Motivate the sales staff towards achievement of work objectives and support the team to achieve their objectives by ensuring they understand the company business plan and objectives. 
  • Be the trainer for the department and ensure all the co-workers in the department are trained in product knowledge, customer service training, concept training, H&S trainings.
  • Act as payroll administrator and be a super user for the staff management system and generate the schedules using the system and monitor attendance of the sales co-workers and monitor sickness and other absences levels.
  • Provide the showroom sales manager with feedback and their recommendations during the probationary period reviews and annually reviews for the staff in the customer service department.
  • Coach, co-ordinate and communicate with sales Co-worker in order to consistently improve sales.
