Ma3mal 612 Think Factory is offering a job opportunity as a HUB Manager to lead its artistic and cultural youth center “The HUB”, an initiative of the “Identity and City” project. Based in Amman, Jordan, the HUB Manager will be responsible to oversee all staff and personnel within the HUB.

Required Qualifications:

  • University graduate with a bachelor degree and at least 3 years’ experience in the cultural scene or creative industries sector
  • Experience in the cultural and artistic scene in Amman, Jordan and a know-how of the current situation, and some contact with cultural entities/projects
  • Knowledge of Financial reporting and budgeting as the hub manager will be working closely with the financial advisor and project coordinator
  • Previous work with local, independent community based organisations, NGOs, or cultural structures is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Able to work smoothly and efficiently in a team, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing a multidisciplinary staff and trainee
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work through deadlines with acute attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrates excellence and clarity in both oral and written communications.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English language skills desirable

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify activities, timeline, and order; with reference to contracts and donor
  2. Deadlines for completion of the project and reaching target goals.
  3. Familiarize with Identity and the City project; its target, mission, and manifesto.
  4. Overseeing all hired staff and personnel (timesheets, targets, attendance, discipline)
  5. Overseeing the hub facilities and managing the hosted activities schedules’
  6. Supervise and attend to all hub trainees, beneficiaries, and hosted artistic groups
  7. Ensure workspaces are fully operational and processes are running smoothly
  8. Establishing a code of conduct/ethics in managing and running the hub facilities and/or activities
  9. Have a knowledge of the technical equipment and facilities the hub offers at all times.
  10. Have a knowledge of the workshops, training programs, and activities the hub is hosting at all times.
  11. Host weekly staff meetings to assess weekly progress, discuss running activities, and reflect on the staff’s performance and input.
  12. Reporting weekly or bi-monthly to the hub directors/board to assess weekly progress, discuss running activities, and reflect on the staff’s performance and input.
  13. Submitting monthly reports on all hub activities and progress.
