Apply to the National Scholars Awards for International Students at the University of Iowa. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2021. The scholarship is for a bachelor's degree.
First Year Non-Resident Scholarships For students who enroll in college directly from high school.
New scholarship programs may be created each year and the amount of scholarships in existing programs is subject to change.
The determination of eligibility for scholarships based on merit will only take into account the results of tests administered up to February 2021 of the final year and the grade point average of the 7th semester (or 2nd semester). March 1, 2021 is the deadline for students to apply to be considered for these scholarships. April 1, 2021 is the deadline for students to submit an updated transcript and/or official test score for reconsideration of the award. Awards are subject to change each year for new students.
All first-year students admitted in the fall of 2021, with or without an ACT or SAT score on file, will be considered for merit scholarships by the Admissions Office. Award decisions for students who do not provide test scores will be made after review of the student's credentials. Students who are able to write the SAT or ACT after applying for admission are encouraged to submit their official results by April 1, 2021 in order to be considered for additional awards. Subsequent receipt of test results will never negatively impact a previous admission or scholarship decision.

2,000 to $12,000 per year for up to four years
Minimum requirements :
First-year non-resident undergraduate students who submit a complete application by March 1, 2021 are automatically considered for the National Scholars Award. The award and the amount of the scholarship are based on outstanding academic merit (standardized test scores and overall average) and outstanding promise at the University of Iowa.
How to Apply :
No applications. Scholarships are awarded automatically to eligible students upon admission.
Renewal :
Up to four years, or until graduation (whichever comes first). You must maintain continuous full-time registration at the University of Iowa (fall and spring terms), a minimum GPA of 2.75, and continue to pay non-resident tuition fees for renewal. Renewal exams are held at the end of each semester.
