Apply for the Scholarships at the Missouri Western State University 2021. The deadline for the application is 1st February 2021.

The Global Griffon Guarantee Scholarship is different from other scholarships. Additionally, it starts with an initial award ranging from $500 to $4,000 that automatically renews and grows each year as long as you remain enrolled full-time, meet the hours completed the requirement, and are in good academic standing (2.0 GPA). That could mean up to $20,500 toward your education.

Consideration for Admission

To be considered for admission you must submit your application, application fee and official transcripts.  Your admission will be based on these documents.  However, your I-20 and acceptance package will not be sent until all required documents have been submitted.

Transcript translation and/or evaluation

  1. If your transcripts are not in English, they must be officially translated.  Original copies should be provided together with translated versions.
  2. If you would like to have your transcripts and credentials evaluated, we accepted evaluations from WES and other accredited members of NACES and AICE. You can find a list of accredited members on their websites.

Official Documents vs. Unofficial Documents

  1. Official documents, including transcripts and diplomas/certificates, must be submitted for full admission and award of scholarship.
  2. An official, final transcript must be submitted before you can register for your second semester of course work if you have not completed your education before being accepted.
  3. Unofficial copies of those aforementioned documents are accepted ONLY for admission purposes. Students will receive conditional admission with unofficial documents if they meet the admission requirements.  We highly recommend that you should submit official documents to avoid delay in your admission and immigration process.

What is an official transcript?

An official transcript can be one of the following:

  1. A hard copy transcript mailed by your secondary school or college/university in a sealed envelope to the following address:

MWSU
Office of Admission
4525 Downs Drive
St. Joseph, MO  64507

  1. An e-transcript sent directly by your college/university
  2. Digital transcripts emailed by your school counselor or other school official through an official institutional email address or an email address that can be verified on the school’s website.
  3. For some West African countries, the WAEC exam results is only considered official after we verify it at the official WAEC website. Applicants must provide their scratch card information as part of the application.
