Apply for the Internship Opportunity for Programme Management in Turkey. The deadline for the application is 2nd March 2021 and is organized by the Technology Bank fot the Least Developed Countries.
The UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries (TBLDCs) internship is for a period of two months commencing as soon as possible, with an opportunity for extension up to a maximum of six months depending on the needs of the Technology Bank.
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background, the intern’s assigned programme as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
•Assist in drafting and preparing background documents, reports, issue briefs, talking points, articles, presentations etc.
•Attend and summarize conferences and meetings.
•Support organization of meetings and conferences, side events to strengthen strategic engagement with UN system partners.
•Assist in data collection of science, technology and innovation practices.
•Conduct research and provide analysis on science, technology and innovation and sustainable development issues.
•Support research on technology needs assessments and related topics.
•Assist in maintaining databases.
•Support the review of key publications.
•Assist in preparing training and learning events and other capacity building initiatives for science, technology and innovation.
The United Nations Core Competencies include:
•Communication: Ability to draft clearly and concisely, good written and oral language skills.
•Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different national and cultural backgrounds to achieve organizational goals.

The intern is expected to:
•Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the United Nations Charter; and
•Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
Education :
To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a)enroll in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
b)Likewise, be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelors level or equivalent); or
c)Also, have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation;
Also, be computer literate in standard software applications.
Work Experience :
Applicants must not have professional work experience for participation in the Programme.
