BAN KI-Moon Center is calling all artists around the world to participate in the Global Citizenship poster competition. Artists, designers, activists, students, and change-makers are invited to design a poster about “Global Citizenship”.  Everyone is invited to use their creativity as a communication tool and inspire others to take action.

Competition Objectives:-

  • During the pandemic, a rise in nationalism, xenophobia, global inequalities was observed and much more. Therefore, BAN KI-Moon Center believes that promoting global citizenship is crucial to foster a new generation of leaders who cultivate empathy, sustainability, and human rights.
  • Your poster should express thoughts and ideas about global citizenship.

Eligibility:-

  • The Poster Design Competition is open to anyone worldwide aged 14 years or older.
  • Individual and group submissions are accepted.

Conditions:-

  • The selection process will be anonymous.
  • The content should not discriminate against any group or country.
  • The content must be an original piece by the artist.
  • By submitting your work, you declare ownership of the work and deny plagiarism and infringement on third party copyright. You will be held accountable for any claims that may arise. You grant the BKMC permission to use and publish the artwork with the respective copyright on social media, promotional materials, exhibitions, and catalogs.

Submission Guidelines:-

What does Global Citizenship Mean to You? The concept and images of the poster should represent the idea of global citizenship and being a global citizen. It can provide an answer to the following questions:

  • How can a global citizen be portrayed?

  • What does her or his environment look like?

  • Which tools are being used in a global citizen’s daily life?

  • What values, ideas, fears, and stories do global citizens carry?

  • How can global citizenship contribute to the local community and transform society?

Prizes:-

  • First place: $1500 USD.

  • Second place: $1000 USD.

  • Third place: $800 USD.

  • The selected top 3 applicants will be notified via email by December 18, 2020. Their artwork will be published on the BKMC website and social media accounts.
