Position Summary | Successful applicant will work and learn with Dr. Jason Fry in his nuclear physics lab. Will learn techniques of particle detection, data processing and analysis, and electronics. Primary goal is to construct and characterize radiation detectors (namely Nal(TI)) for use in neutron decay experiments at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. May include travel to ORNL if approved under both EKU and ORNL COVID guidelines. |

Minimum Qualifications |
STEM major and completed at least PHY 202 or PHY 211. Must be an EKU student. |
Desired Qualifications | Physics major who is taking or has taken PHY 302 and PHY 406. |
