This scholarship assists Australian Indigenous students to undertake post-secondary study in Queensland. It is awarded to Australian Indigenous students in their second or subsequent year of study at participating institutions.
It was established in 1987 and is maintained by gifts from Mr Robert Noel Hammon.
The scholarship is open to Indigenous students who:

Submit completed application form with supporting documentation to ugscholarships@uq.edu.au by the closing date.
The selection committee will take into account:
Social and economic need may also be considered.
Preference will be given to eligible applicants who are undertaking studies in:
Scholarship value : The Deputy President of the Academic Board will determine the value of scholarships each year.
Number awarded : The Deputy President of the Academic Board will determine the number of scholarships available each year
