You are invited to apply for a position in the Communications Area within the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program at the assistant, associate or full professor rank. Preference will be given in wireless communications. The available opening is at the Full Professor rank. We particularly welcome applications from female scholars as well as members of traditionally underrepresented groups. The selected individual is expected to enhance our communications research group and become its leader. This person will also act as our liaison with NYU’s Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications (CATT). The ECE-program has invested in optical communications, robotics and cybersecurity and there are exceptional facilities in these areas. Faculty in NYUAD’s ECE have close collaboration with their colleagues at NYU’s ECE and CSE departments. NYUNY is well known globally for its research in Communications, Networking and Signal Processing and Machine Learning. The successful candidate will enjoy collaboration opportunities with the NYU WIRELESS research center, and it’s many faculty, students and industrial affiliates that work closely with the center on visionary projects across all research domains for 6G and beyond. NYUAD’s Global PhD student fellowship program assists in tightening this collaboration and sharing knowledge and expertise.

Likewise, our faculty are highly diverse and community minded: our modern campus is home to over 320 faculty who represent more than 45 different nationalities, all of whom bring a global perspective to their classrooms and research projects. Research is advanced by over 400 highly qualified research staff, who are likewise drawn from all over the world.

NYUAD has state-of-the-art research facilities in a new 15-acre campus on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The core research infrastructure has extensive and exceptional range of instruments for imaging, fabrication and characterization. In addition, the Engineering Division of NYUAD has close collaborations with the faculty and students at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and has access to the world-class research centers and infrastructure in New York. Students are drawn from around the globe, surpassing all traditional academic benchmarks. The NYU Abu Dhabi undergraduate student body has garnered an impressive record of scholarships, graduate-school appointments, and many other honors, including fourteen Rhodes Scholarships since 2014.
