The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking multiple post-doctoral associates to join the laboratory of Dr Jun Wang  within the Department of Medicinal Chemistry on or about January 1, 2022. The successful candidates will participate in NIH-funded projects in antiviral research.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A Ph.D., MD or DVM in a field appropriate to the research area is required.
  • Knowledge of molecular cloning, protein expression, imaging, structural biology, immunology, virology and mouse models is preferred but not required
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates must be able to:
  • Design and develop biochemical and cell-based assays for various drug targets.
  • Perform high-throughput screening and structure-based drug design.
  • Study the mechanism of action and mechanism of resistance of antivirals.
  • Creatively develop, plan, execute and publish research relevant to the project. 
  • Participate fully as a lab team member.
  • Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities.
  • Assist in preparation of grants, manuscripts and conference presentations

Candidates  must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse group and be willing to learn techniques and methodologies.  Candidates must be highly motivated, creative and able to maintain excellent documentation of their work.
