Talent is evenly distributed, but unfortunately, opportunity is not.

For many minorities, coding is a form of expression and passion that can only be nurtured through habitual practice. Unfortunately, as minority households hold less average wealth compared to white households, many students who would like to pursue their passion don’t have the resources to do so.

Often battling many forms of bigotry, it’s important that minorities in the demanding computer science field are given an equal opportunity to pursue their passion for coding.

To support the endeavors of minorities who code across the country, the Coding for Minorities Scholarship will be awarded to one determined minority student pursuing a degree/career in coding or computer science.

Though not required, students who have large ambitions for their coding career on their profile will have a higher chance of winning this scholarship.
