Subject description
The research subject Entrepreneurship and innovation include organizational development with a particular focus on business development based on innovative products, services and production solutions, as well as ways to manage and organize operations.
The research group collaborates with large national and international companies, small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), policy makers and other research groups. Research results are produced in close cooperation with industry and other actors. The research subject has strong track record in publications in top-tier journals, such as, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Product Innovation Management, MIT Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, Industrial Marketing Management, and others.
Project description
We are now looking for a postdoctoral researcher for our research track focusing on business model innovation, circular economy, and sustainable industry. The researcher work intends to contribute towards development of strategy that would enable industrial firms and their value chain commercialize sustainable business models. A significant part of the research is focused on addressing business needs by mapping out challenges, proposing methods for improvement and facilitating the implementation of the proposed methods. Thus, the project work will be conducted in close cooperation with various organizations and drive their growth and development. This position is in particularly relevant for those recently graduates doctoral candidates that want to engage in high impact research in close cooperation with industry and follow-up on the impact on these research on the partner companies.
Duties
The current postdoctoral positions include the following main tasks:
- Contact companies in the region and conduct research in close collaboration with them
- Initiate, design and conduct data collection
- Co-author articles on innovation with other researchers in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation group
- Be a collaborative partner for other innovation researchers in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation group
- Write research applications (i.e., for external grants) to expand the external funding for innovation-related research within the Entrepreneurship and Innovation group
- Plan and carry out knowledge transfer to collaborating companies
- Plan and carry out popular science dissemination activities (e.g., webinars, popular science articles, workshops, presentations)
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in business administration and/or industrial engineering management
Qualifications
We are looking for you who has a PhD, preferably within business administration, industrial engineering and management, entrepreneurship & innovation, sustainability transitions (or equivalent). You should have strong research credentials related to the research project described above. We expect you to have a solid publication track record in journals in ABS level 2-4. A background in conducting applied qualitative research studies in close collaboration with industry is a merit. The position requires good knowledge of oral and written communication in English. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a merit. Priority may be given to candidates that has a Ph.D. degree not more than three years old.
