Job Summary:
The duty of the employee will be magneto-transport measurements oxide based thin films along with professional preparation of samples for this type of measurements
Job Description:
The duty of the employee will be to automatize using Labview a custom made Hall set-up, perform temperature dependent magneto-transport measurements of oxide based semiconductor layers along with preparation of samples for this type of measurements and other kinds of electrical characterization techniques. In detail, the selected candidate will be the main responsible for the Hall set-up both in terms of its hardware and software upgrading and maintenance as well as in preparation of the samples by electron-lithography and reactive ion etching, performing commissioned measurements, the analysis and interpretation of the measurements and preparation of the data for publication purposes. In addition, preparation of commissioned structures by using electron-lithography and reactive ion etching to be used for performing complementary electrical analysis of the oxide based layers might also by requested by time to time. Considering the above mentioned tasks, previous knowledge of Labview and methods of preparation of electrical contacts using electron-lithography and reactive ion etching will be considered as mandatory.
Main research field: Physics
Sub Research Field: Solid State Physics
Career Stage: Recognized Researcher (R2)PhD in physics defended no earlier than 8 and no later than 2 years ago. Experience in transport measurements carried out at helium temperatures, knowledge of programming in Labview, experience in preparing samples for transport measurements by electron-lithography and ion etching
Type of Contract: 1 year tentative contract with the possibility of extension
Status: Full-time
