Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD scholarship will be awarded in Understanding Environmental Adaptability in Wild Mammalian Carnivores – a Multidisciplinary Perspective Computer Science,   Medical Science, Education, Music, Engineering, Nanotechnology, Geography, Environment and Earth Science, Physics and Mathematics, Health Studies, Psychology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages and LiteratureSport and Exercise Science,
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Applicants should have a 2:1 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology or animal behaviour). A master’s in a related subject, or relevant experience would also be an advantage.

Offered Benefits

The University of Hull will provide a fully-funded opportunity for successful candidates for PhD study. The successful applicant will receive a fee waiver and a maintenance grant/stipend for three years (full time) or five years (part-time), which covers the research period of the PhD. The fee waiver for 21/22 is £4,500 (Home fee), and the maintenance grant is £15,609. This rises each year in line with the UKRI’s recommended stipend allowance.

  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit a CV, your application must include your research proposal, academic certificates, and transcripts by email or post.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants should have a master’s degree with a research training element, an excellent Honours degree with a research training element, or other significant research credentials.
  • English Language Requirement:If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level.
