Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD scholarship will be awarded in Understanding Environmental Adaptability in Wild Mammalian Carnivores – a Multidisciplinary Perspective Computer Science, Medical Science, Education, Music, Engineering, Nanotechnology, Geography, Environment and Earth Science, Physics and Mathematics, Health Studies, Psychology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages and Literature, Sport and Exercise Science,
Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
Applicants should have a 2:1 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology or animal behaviour). A master’s in a related subject, or relevant experience would also be an advantage.

Offered Benefits

The University of Hull will provide a fully-funded opportunity for successful candidates for PhD study. The successful applicant will receive a fee waiver and a maintenance grant/stipend for three years (full time) or five years (part-time), which covers the research period of the PhD. The fee waiver for 21/22 is £4,500 (Home fee), and the maintenance grant is £15,609. This rises each year in line with the UKRI’s recommended stipend allowance.

Admission Requirements: Applicants should have a master’s degree with a research training element, an excellent Honours degree with a research training element, or other significant research credentials.
English Language Requirement:If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level.
