The study program is open for both domestic and international applicants who want to pursue a PhD degree program at the university. The studentship is designed for the academic year 2022-2023.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Students from Denmark and all other foreign countries are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree study in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Professional qualifications relevant to the PhD project
  • Relevant publications
  • Relevant work experience
  • Other relevant professional activities
  • The curious mindset with a strong interest in biogeochemistry as  the basis for developing solutions for sustainable and climate-smart land use
  • Good language skills

Offered Benefits

The University of Copenhagen will provide a starting salary for candidates. The terms of employment and salary are in accordance to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State (AC).

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All interested candidates are required to take admission in a postdoctoral degree at the University of Copenhagen. After being enrolled, applicants can complete the online application form for this studentship.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Motivated letter of application (max. one page)
  • Curriculum vitae including information about your education, experience, language skills, and other skills relevant for the position
  • Original diplomas for Bachelor of Science or Master of Science and transcript of records in the original language, including an authorized English translation if issued in another language than English or Danish. If not completed, a certified/signed copy of a recent transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor is accepted.
  • Publication list (if possible)
  • Reference letters (if available)
  • Admission Requirements: The applying candidates must hold the MSc education in accordance with the curriculum of the MSc programme
