The International Volunteer Program in Iraq, being organized for the first time in the country, is an exceptional opportunity for enthusiastic participants to set sail and travel abroad to have a lifetime experience in an unexplored destination for volunteering, with a rich history, amazing culture and hospitable people.
Participants will spend a week volunteering in a community service project and living with young people from around the world and can pick up some new volunteering experience in the Middle East, learn how to cook Iraqi food, and participate in many fun cultural excursions. By the end of the program, volunteers will form a well-rounded perspective of Iraq and have their eyes opened by working closely with the Iraqi youth community. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of this fascinating country.
This program will allow you to experience the authentic Iraqi way of life while contributing meaningfully to society. This program is perfectly suitable for college as well as high school students, gap year students, families, corporate groups, the first-time solo travelers as well as experienced adventurers who are keen to explore Iraq responsibly. This project is designed to give you a meaningful travel & volunteering opportunity as well as connect you to the cultural, historical, and popular highlights of Iraq.
We do hope this international exchange will further lead to impactful projects and initiatives in Iraq and beyond.

Eligibility
In order to be considered eligible to apply, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
Volunteers from any country are welcomed to apply
There is no age limit for the program.
Able to communicate in English
Applicants should cover international flight, visa fees and insurance if needed.

Event dates: 19-22 June 2022
IVP-Iraq venue is arranged taking COVID 19 measures into consideration and the event date is planned in line with international travel regulations of Iraq as the host country. The organisers will consider social distancing protocols at its best.
