  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must hold, or expect to hold at least a UK upper second class degree
  • Applicants must be UK and EU citizens.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship winners will receive a tax-free stipend at a standard rate of £15560 per year for 3.5 years and a support grant of £1,650 for the 3.5-year duration.

  • Supporting Documents: You must submit the following documents when you apply:
  • Research proposal
  • Summary of academic interests
  • Degree certificates and transcripts. If the originals are not in English, certified translations must be provided
  • CV
  • Two academic references – including one from your most recent university. Or you can provide contact details for your referees, and we will email them.
  •  Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold, or expect to hold, at least a UK upper second class degree (or non-UK equivalent qualification) in Physics, or a closely-related area, or else a lower second class degree followed by a relevant Master’s degree.
  • Language Requirement: If your first language is not English, you will need to demonstrate that you meet the University’s English language  requirements for the degree you have applied for.
