We believe giving back and helping the community is the key to moving forward.
We would like to support a student that believes in giving back and strives to help their community. People that are involved in community service activities realize their time is as valuable to others as it is to themselves. This is especially important to us because my mother gave her time and her money to help the elderly and children that needed time and help.
The Lorraine Belcourt Love in the Community Scholarship will be given to one student each year who is committed to pursuing a degree in a career of public service. This could be social work, law enforcement, pastoral commitment, nursing, or any number of professions that seek to better the community.
