Institution: American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) Institute for Oral Health
Purpose: To support undergraduate students and those working towards degree completion within the dental hygiene arena who are also committed to work within the geriatric population in an effort to improve the oral health of this population.
Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university in the United States pursuing an associate, baccalaureate or degree completion program in dental hygiene or a related field and must commit to working towards improvement of oral health within the geriatric population. Applicants must have completed at least one year of a dental hygiene curriculum, be active members of the ADHA, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have a minimum demonstrated financial need of $1,500. Selection is based upon the overall strength of the application.
