BICeBé Poster Design Competition is now available for designers who want to participate from any place in the world. One of the main objectives of the competition is to project national design to the world, as well as the emphasis on the pedagogical / academic essence of its activities, where the exchange of knowledge with a humanistic approach is prioritized.

Eligibility:-

  • The participation in this call has no fee.
  • Contestants may be design students, graphic designers, plastic artists, photographers and graphic producers in general, of any age and nationality, having posters printed between April 2021 and April 2023, except for those submitting as Category D that must be unpublished (as shown below).
  • Each contestant can submit up to ten (10) posters in categories A,B,C & D. Category D does not accept series. Category E will accept up to two (2) motion design posters per designer. Series are not counted as a single poster.
  • Design technique is free. The original design format for categories A,B & C may not be less than 50 x 70 cm. In Category D design format must be 70 x 100 cm. VERTICAL. In Category E Motion Design Poster, proposals must have the following specs: size: 1080 x 1920 (square pixels), time: 20 seconds (30 fps), format: MP4 (h.264 / high bitrate) Maximum weight 30MB.

Terms and Conditions:-

  • The organizer is authorized to reproduce the submitted posters in catalogs, exhibitions, electronic media, as well as biennial non-profit promotional events.
  • BICeBé respects and does not commercialize the intellectual property of the authors.
  • All posters will become part of the acquisition of the BICeBé.
  • The organizers reserve the right to reject the participation of posters that are considered offensive to the morals or culture of any country, as well as those that do not respond to the intellectual property of the registered person.
  • In case of being selected, the designer or studio agrees to send two printed posters of each selected poster or choose local printing and transfer via Western Union. Not complying with this term would mean automatic elimination from the final jury.
  • All selected designers will be notified of the email provided at the time of registration, with the Entry Form and Transfer info (in case of choosing local printing). If you don‘t get the notification email until May 3, please get in contact with BICeBé to request this information.

Competition Categories:-

Posters submitted may participate in the following categories:

  • Published works.
  • Category A: Cultural posters
  • Category B: Social posters
  • Category C: Advertising or commercial posters
  • Category E: Motion Design Poster. Free Topic.
  • Unpublished works.
  • Category D: At this category D BICeBé will only accept originals & unpublished, not previously printed or digitally published posters (including social networks, blogs, websites or other contests).

Prizes:-

  • BICeBé will award the First, Second and Third Place of all categories with a Diploma of Honor and Medal.
  • The Best Bolivian Poster of all categories and the Best Bolivian Poster of Category D will receive a Diploma of Honor and a monetary award.

About BICeBé:-

The Bolivia BICeBé Poster Biennial is the most important international design and visual arts event in Bolivia and the Southern Cone. Since its inception in 2009, it has established the highest standards of national and international design and is linked, like no other event, with all design schools and universities in the country and Latin America. The BICeBé takes place every two years in the month of November in the city of La Paz, Bolivia and generates itineraries with its exhibitions to other cities in the country as well as other countries in the world.
