Royal Thimphu College is very delighted to present its wonderful funding scheme to its students, the WWF-Train Legacy Scholarships. The college will award this scholarship for the academic year 2023-2024.

This scholarship will be awarded to four Bhutanese students who are undergoing study in a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management programme at the Royal Thimphu College. The students are required to have scored a minimum of 65% in English and other three of their best subjects to be considered for the award, which can be expected to cover tuition fee.The Royal Thimphu College is affiliated with the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) and KhesarGyalpo University of Medical Sciences (KGUMSB). It was founded in 2009 and is a private college, Bhutan’s first private college, at that.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: Home country students can apply.
Eligible Course or Subjects: Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management (4-year) programme offered at the Royal Thimphu College can be applied for.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
The applicants must be willing to contribute to the conservation efforts in the country.

Offered Benefits

The winners will be awarded full scholarships or full tuition fee scholarships by the Royal Thimphu College towards their undertaken bachelor study.

Application Process

How to Apply: The applicants can apply for admission via the university portal. All eligible candidates will be considered for the scholarship.
Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
Copy of Academic transcripts
Copy of CID/Route Permit
2 recommendation letters
Copy of Family Tree
Letter from Gup
Payslip/tax certificate of parents/guardians
Other merit certificates
Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a 65% minimum in English and the other three best subjects.
Language Requirement: The students must be able to communicate well in English.
