Alzheimer’s Disease Research Methodology: From Cell to Populations Summer School EDINBURGH 10 – 14 June 2019

A unique opportunity for a cross-disciplinary tour of methodology in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease Research. 

This 4 day course offers an overview of research design from cellular and animal research through to clinical and general population studies by leading experts in their field. The course includes lectures, workshops and laboratory demonstrations designed to:

• Facilitate understanding of methods outside the student’s discipline

• Develop critical appraisal of research design

• Promote cross-disciplinary research 

Designed principally for post-graduate students from all fields: from biology to social sciences and public health, the course is restricted to 20 participants to maximize student/teacher exchange.

PRICE: £200 per person + £100 for optional

About the Course

The CDP Summer School is a multidisciplinary 4-day course in research methods on three CDP research sites. The school is designed principally for post-graduate students with an interest in pursuing research in Alzheimer’s Disease, but also open to final year students and medical students undertaking parallel research projects. Admission will be restricted to 20 participants to maximize student/teacher interchange. The course will provide an overview of research design and methodology from cellular and animal research through to clinical and general population studies. 

There is also a 1 day optional statistics module that attendees can attend on Friday 14th June 2019 focusing on statistical analysis in Alzheimer's Disease Research
