EdX offers a free online course on social media. In this course, learners will discover where social media came from, how they have become an integral part of our daily lives, and how this has changed the way we communicate. The course will contribute to increasing learners' understanding of social media by looking at the ways in which network communication allows users to become "social", and how this communication has been amplified with the advent of the web.
