Scholarships at De Montfort university in United Kingdom for study and sports Master program:

Available to talented students from the UK, EU and international wishing to develop their performance in sports.
You could become a DMU champion for sport and perform in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) and Varsity competitions; while also gaining a recognised degree qualification across a wide range of courses and disciplines.

Amount of the grant: 6000 pounds

Eligibility criteria

To qualify for the DMU Sport Scholarships you must:

Be enrolled on an undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research course during the academic year 2019 or 2019/20
Compete at a high representative level*, and be able to demonstrate passion and commitment to your sport

Below are the tiers of scholarship available:

Tier 1: For students representing their sport Internationally or Nationally
Tier 2: For students involved in a National Development Pathway
Tier 3: For student consistently playing for a regional team & representing their region in National competitions
Tier 4: For students at exceptional County/Regional level, who are raising the level of their club
Recognition Tier: For students who are at Tier 2 or above but who are also already receiving an academic scholarship from DMU

Athletes who consider themselves to be eligible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Scholarships are encouraged to apply earlier so a decision can be made in advance.

Late applicants will be considered on a merit basis.

Deadline for applications

Deadline for applicants for the 2019/20 academic year is Sunday 8 September 2019.

There will be a second deadline for clearing students of the Sunday 6 October 2019

Deadline for applicants starting in January 2020 is Sunday 26 January 2020.
