Al-Jazeera English channel has a vacancy for a Deputy News Editor, at its headquarters in Doha.

Eligibility Criteria:

At least 5 years of experience in international news field.
Knowledge of local and international current affairs.
Knowledge of news sources and Al-Jazeera editorial integrity and ethics.
Knowledge of editorial and journalistic standards.
Knowledge and understanding of the workflow of a large global news operation.

Responsibilities:

Assists the News Editor in the running of the Newsdesk, and takes responsibility for multiple stories.
Communicate effectively with correspondents and producers in the field.
Keep newsroom colleagues informed.
