The Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship from UTS is now open to international students who have been made an offer, and are granted solely on the basis of academic merit. A financial aid of AUD $5,000 will be given to the students enrolled in the program in order to attract high achieving commencing international students to enroll in a postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Australia.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia).
Must remain an international student post census date for the session in which they receive the Scholarship.
Must meet all admission criteria for the selected postgraduate coursework program.
Must be commencing studies in a UTS degree full-time on campus.
Must accept their offer (including payment of the deposit required as per the letter of offer) for the approved UTS program within two months of the issue date of the full letter of offer, or by the deposit due date of the applied intake whichever comes first.
Must not be a recipient of a full tuition fee scholarship from UTS for the duration of this Scholarship.
Must not be enrolled in a UTS transnational program.
Must not be a government-sponsored student.

Selection Criteria:

Academic merit in the most recently completed tertiary qualification recognized by UTS for entry into the selected UTS postgraduate coursework program.
UTS International will automatically consider all commencing international students applying for a postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney for this Scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to what is required for the coursework application.

Benefits:

UTS will pay each recipient AUD $5,000 from the tuition fees.

Termination of Recipient’s Scholarship:

The Scholarship will terminate:

If the Recipient ceases to meet the eligibility criteria.
If the Recipient breaches any conditions of the Scholarship.
If UTS determines that the student is guilty of misconduct and after consultation with the Director, SAU the delegate able to award the Scholarship deems that it is not appropriate for the Recipient to continue to hold the Scholarship.
