The American University in Cairo announced the partially funded Qalaa Holdings Fellowship Program. This fellowship is awarded to Egyptian students with excellent academic performance records who wish to pursue a graduate degree in Master of Global Affairs at the American University in Cairo.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Egyptian National.
  • The applicant must be a staff member at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • For new graduate degree-seeking students; satisfy AUC graduate admissions requirements and full admission to the Master of Global Affairs program at AUC. 
  • For continuing students; to retain the fellowship, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.2 
  • Financial need.

Duration:

The fellowship is awarded for the duration of two semesters, pending a review at the end of the first semester for satisfactory academic performance.

Program Funding:

The fellowship covers:

  • Tuition fees coverage for a maximum of nine credits per semester.
  • Student services and activities fees.

Fellows Responsibilities:

  • Enroll as a full-time student in the MGA graduate program.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Respond to any reporting requests received from AUC by the deadline communicated. This may include a request for photos or academic progress information to be used for reporting purposes; attendance of fellowship events including any meetings/events as requested by the relevant university entities.
