Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a 1-year or 2-year MRes program and a 3-year PhD program in the following:
Management & Accounting
Economics
Finance
Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must be either home or international students applying for a 1-year or 2-year MRes program or 3 year PhD program at the University of Exeter Business School.
Applicants need an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

Offered Benefits

The University of Exeter Business School will provide two funding schemes that provide fully funded MRes to PhD scholarships. Annual total (i.e., remuneration + stipend): £21,789.60

Full tuition fees at UK/International fee rate
Remuneration for 180 hours teaching: circa £3238.20 (2022/23 rate, subject to tax & National Insurance)
Annual stipend: £18551.40 (2022/23 rate)
Students are additionally eligible for funding to support their research, development and conference attendance.

Supporting Documents: Applicants must upload the following documents in the online application:
An essay of no more than 750 words maximum explaining (1) why you are applying for the scholarship, (2) why you are a suitable recipient of the scholarship and (3) your expectations for the MRes + PhD in your chosen pathway.
A CV of no more than 2 pages
The official transcript or certified copy of university grades from all past degrees
Two academic reference letters (one must be the most recent institution): The preferred format is PDF, each file named with your surname and the name of the document, eg. “Smith – CV.pdf”, “Smith – Cover Letter.pdf”, “Smith – Transcript.pdf”.
If relevant, valid, original English language proficiency test
Admission Requirements: Entry requirements for research programs vary and are dependent on applicants’ previous academic qualifications, experience and personal qualities. Check the full criteria here.
Language Requirement: Applicants must have excellent English language proficiency and provide a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Cambridge score report (if required).
