The Albrecht Mendelssohn Bartholdy Graduate School of Law offers places and scholarships in its structured Ph.D. program in legal sciences.
They invite applications from outstanding graduates from all disciplines who are keen to produce high quality PhD theses in legal sciences in an excellent and international research environment. The 3- year program leads to a Dr. Iur (respectively PhD in law) in all legal sub-disciplines and places special attention on interdisciplinary projects.
Scholarship holders of the Albrecht Mendelssohn Bartholdy Graduate School of Law receive a monthly scholarship of EUR 1,150 towards living expenses. An addition EUR 215 per month is granted for research costs, if applicable.
If necessary, a childcare supplement may be granted. Ancillary activities are only compatible with the scholarship up to a maximum of 5 working hours per week, in the case of research and teaching employment up to 10 working hours per week.
All enrolled students must pay the university’s administration fee (approx. EUR 330 per semester, around 55 EUR per month). This includes a six-month ticket for public transport in the City of Hamburg
