Applications for the Michael P Stanyan Scholarship to study in Canada, USA and the UK are currently being accepted. The scholarship aims to support Students from any country who are able to apply for a university in Canada, the United States of America or the United Kingdom.

The scholarship honors the first investor and chairman, Michael P Stanyan, who was not only an incredible investor, but also a great lover of and believer in the power of business and design. Michael unfortunately passed away in 2019, but we hope to carry on a part of his passion and legacy through this scholarship.

Michael P Stanyan Scholarship Benefits

The Michael P Stanyan Scholarship for Business & Design is a one time, merit-based grant of $5,000 to cover costs associated with an undergraduate education in business and/or design.

Michael P Stanyan Scholarship Eligibility

The Stanyan Scholarship is for those who are interested in the intersection of business and design. Candidates must have the following profile:

Students from any country are able to apply, but your university must be in the US, UK, or Canada
Anyone studying for a four or more year degree, who is in their first to last year of study In the US, UK, or Canada
Students must have a demonstrated interest in the intersection of business and design.

Eligible applicants must gathered required documents, and email them to [email protected].

Required Documents

A cover letter explaining your study, how it relates to the intersection of design and business, and why you’re interested in the scholarship ;
Your undergraduate transcripts, or if you are beginning your studies, proof of enrollment ;
1 letter of recommendation from a teacher, boss, or mentor ;
1 essay of no more than 500 words on the role of business and design in society.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Applications for a given school year are due on June 15 of that year, and decisions are made by August 15. If your application is received after June 15, it will be considered for the following school year.
