Photocrowd, in association with Zoner, is launching a photo contest on the theme of "Calm", as each and everyone interested in creative photography is invited to take part in this contest.

This contest is open to subscribers (members on the Challenger, Pro and Master subscription tiers). However if you're not a paying subscriber you can still purchase entries for £2 (GBP) per image.

Although conceptual, ‘calm’ as a subject is something that’s instantly recognisable when we see it. It could be represented by a smooth lake or a candlelit meal, a blissfully relaxed animal scene or anything else that evokes a sense of tranquil contentment. In the midst of your busy week, take a break from it all by experimenting with the subject of ‘calm’.

How it works:

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.

Prizes:

The winners of the expert judged category and the crowd vote, will both win year-long licences to the acclaimed Zoner Photo Studio X.
