Get financial support to start your academic journey in Australia. Macquarie University is granting a wonderful opportunity to apply for the National Research and Innovation Agency of Uruguay (ANII) & Co-Funded Scholarships Program.

Up to 5 Co-Funded Scholarships per year will be offered to eligible Uruguayan students accepted into a Master of Research (MRes) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Macquarie University.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: All nationalities
Acceptable Course or Subjects: Candidates research projects should be from one of the Specific Research Disciplines listed as follows:
Geosciences
Energy, including Renewable Energy
Animal and Human Health (include Pharmaceutical)
Environmental Science
Biological Sciences and Biodiversity
Climate Science
Marine Science
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
Audio-visual Production
Education and Social Development
Biotechnology
Nanotechnology
Engineering
Advanced Medicine
Cognitive Science
Transport and Logistics
Other areas defined by the Parties
Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a masters degree from a recognized university

Offered Benefits

Macquarie University will provide an award amount in the following study expenses:

Return Airfare between Uruguay and Australia
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Full Tuition fees for up to 2 years
Scholarship payments valued at $20,000 for the 1st year of the Master of Research Program to assist in living costs.
A stipend paid at the Research Training Program (RTP) Rate (2021 Rate $28,597) in the 2nd year of the Master of Research Program

For a PhD program, the Co-Funded support will provide funding for:

Return Airfare between Uruguay and Australia
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Full Tuition fees for up to 3 years
A stipend paid at the Research Training Program (RTP) Rate (2021 Rate $28,597) for up to 3 years

Application Process

How to Apply: To apply for the opportunity, candidates must take admission in PhD or MRes degree program at Macquarie University. After being registered, applicants will be automatically considered for this education award.
Supporting Documents: Applicants must provide official academic transcripts for all prior studies (e.g., Bachelors, Masters, etc.) and evidence of current program enrolment (if applicable), passport copy, current Australian visa, and a detailed CV.
Admission Requirements: For taking admission, candidates must check the entry requirements of the program.
Language Requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language requirements to study at the university.
