VTT Summer of Changemakers 2021 is looking for you. We offer over 30 truly meaningful summer traineeships, where you get to challenge yourself and build your career in a community of brilliant minds. We are one of Europe’s leading research organisations. We turn global challenges – from climate change and resource sufficiency to industrial renewal and smart healthcare – into sustainable growth with the latest and best tools of science and technology. Now, we are looking for passionate changemakers – you – to join us as summer trainees.

Do you want to be the next Research Trainee in Defence technology?

VTT is working with the Finnish Defence Forces to develop methods to protect our troops. This work requires a multidisciplinary team with a wide skill set to put theory into practice.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a trainee to work in defence related projects in our printed electronics team at Oulu. Detailed work description will be tailored with the skills and interests of the selected person, ranging from measurements, simulation and design work to assembly jobs including building and testing of prototypes. Suitable educational backgrounds include e.g. electronics, physics, chemistry, industrial design and process engineering (1 to n years).

Knowledge and interest in any of the following topics is appreciated:
